Terms and Conditions

Please note that by booking your holiday property with Cityred, you are agreeing to the follow terms and conditions:

  1. 30% Deposit: A booking request via our website or by email will remain pending until we have received a deposit of 30% of the value of your reservation.
  2. 50% Deposit: If the total value of your booking is less than 1,000 MAD we may ask you to pay an advance of 50%.
  3. 48 hr Pending period: We will keep the property pending for you for 48 hours.
  4. Payment Methods: The current and only method of payment for the deposit is a transfer by Western Union
  5. Lapse Period: Failure to send the deposit means that your reservation is not confirmed and will remain pending.
  6. Rates are Exclusive of VAT: Please note that rates quoted on our website, in the office or on any of our publications are exclusive of VAT. VAT on property activities in Morocco is charged at 20% according to the present Financial budget.
  7. First Come First Serve: We operate on a ‘first-come first-serve’ basis, which means that as long as your property is pending and the 24 hour period has lapsed, we may let the property to another customer.
  8. Western Union: Once you have sent the monies by Western Union, we will need you to email us the Amount sent and the Reference Number.
  9. Balance: Once you are in Marrakech, you must pay the full balance prior to taking the keys.
  10. Safety Deposit: You will be required to pay a deposit of 1000 MAD for stays under 15 nights and 2000 MAD for stays of 15 nights and more.
  11. Return of Safety Deposit: This is a safety deposit that will be returned to you in full at the end of your stay as long as you do not owe any money and no damage has been caused to the property.
  12. Safety Deposit for Villas: The safety deposits of villas may be higher then what is stated above. You will be notified of this on reservation and prior to your arrival.
  13. Short-Term Contract: You will be required to sign our ‘Short-Term Rental Contract’ before you can be handed over the keys.
  14. Check-in: Check-in time is from 14.00hrs. For check-in before 8.30hrs and after 20.30hrs there is a charge of 50 MAD.
  15. Checking in Before 14.00 hrs: This is subject to the property being vacant.
  16. Check-Out: Check-out time is 12.00hrs. Late check-out can result in a fine of 100 MAD for each hour. Please remember that there will be customers waiting for you to vacate the property.
  17. Right of Relocation: If for reasons outside of our control, the property that you have booked is not suitable for you to stay in due to a major maintenance problem or for a health and safety issue, we have the right to change your reservation to an alternative property that is of at least the same quality and standard or better. We may not get the chance to inform you of this change prior to your arrival. If the property is of a higher quality we will not charge you over what you have reserved.
  18. Early cancellations: There will be no refunds for early cancellations, no matter what the circumstances are.
  19. Changing of Dates: We may be able to change your booking dates if you request this. This will be at the total discretion of the Lettings Manager and may mean that you will pay extra if you change your booking to a high season period. You will not be refunded for changing your booking to a low season period.
  20. Confirmation: By requesting a booking you are confirming that you agree and will abide by the above mentioned terms and conditions.

*We will soon be operating a credit and debit card payment system. We expect this to come into effect in the summer of 2009. If you are sending a large amount of money and prefer to do a bank transfer we can provide you with our bank account in Morocco. Your money will take at least 5 working days to reach our account. We will therefore need proof that it has been sent in order to confirm your booking.
